Gunther makes major announcement on WWE RAW; current champions put on notice

Gunther made a major announcement about his future on the latest episode of WWE RAW, putting all the current champions on notice.

The Ring General went on a historic title reign after he won the Intercontinental Championship over a year ago. He dominated his opponents in the ring and became the longest-reigning IC Champion in history. However, at WrestleMania 40, Sami Zayn pulled off the unthinkable when he defeated and dethroned Gunther, ending his 666-day reign.

Tonight on RAW, The Ring General addressed the fans for the first time since his defeat at 'Mania 40. He remained calm in defeat and said that he elevated the Intercontinental Championship in his 666-day reign. He also mentioned that he had a target on his back for the better part of two years, but those expectations are no longer on his shoulders, and he thanked Sami Zayn for that.

The Imperium Leader then said that he had gone from being hunted to the hunter. He declared himself for The King of the Ring tournament and said he'd decide what title to take next. He then warned all the champions that he would be hunting them soon. The former champion then said that he would be the King of the Ring.

It will be interesting to see if Gunther wins the King of the Ring and which title he will go after next.
