Gunther match showed why WWE is so special right now, RAW star says

Gunther has been involved in many show-stealing matches since moving to WWE's main roster in 2022. Ludwig Kaiser, The Ring General's fellow Imperium member, believes his stablemate's recent contest with Randy Orton summed up WWE's current generation.

On May 25, Gunther defeated Orton in a widely praised match to win the King of the Ring Tournament in Saudi Arabia. The Austrian will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Damian Priest, at SummerSlam on August 3.

Ahead of Clash at the Castle: Scotland on June 15, Kaiser spoke to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta about the exciting new era:

"Well, obviously there is so many [dream opponents], right? If you look at the WWE right now, it is just incredible how many legendary names we have to offer and how much greatness is there. Obviously, looking back at the King of the Ring, Randy Orton against The Ring General Gunther, moments like this really shows you, and it's so special to be a part of this right now," said Kaiser. Ludwig Kaiser on how this WWE era will be remembered

In 2022, Triple H replaced Vince McMahon as WWE's creative figurehead. Since then, the consensus among fans has been that storylines and weekly shows are more compelling now than when McMahon was in charge.

Ludwig Kaiser added that fans will look back fondly on the current product in years to come:

"Whether you're a fan or actively in the ring, it is just such a special time right now. People in decades from now are gonna look back to this era and are gonna say, 'Wow, what happened back there? Everybody was so lucky to be part of this.' And that's exactly how I feel about it," admitted Kaiser. [1:19 – 1:35]

Kaiser also sent a message to his latest RAW rival Sheamus and every other legend on the roster.
