Gunther sends five-word message following confrontation with Randy Orton on WWE RAW

Gunther sent a message to Randy Orton on social media today following their confrontation on WWE RAW. The Ring General defeated Randy Orton to win the King of the Ring tournament earlier this year.

As a result of winning the tournament, Gunther earned a title shot at WWE SummerSlam. He defeated Damian Priest at the Premium Live Event to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. The Imperium Leader will be defending the title against Orton at Bash in Berlin on August 31.

Orton caught the champion with an RKO out of nowhere this past Monday night on RAW. Ahead of the title match, the 36-year-old shared a video of himself claiming Orton's family always messed things up on RAW. He dared fans to tell him he was wrong, as seen in his post below.

"Tell me if im wrong!," he wrote.

Randy Orton confronted the champion on the RAW following SummerSlam and noted that the finals of the King of the Ring tournament had a controversial finish. Gunther agreed and accepted the challenge for a title match at Bash in Berlin.

WWE star Gunther on how he wants fans to react to him

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther recently shared that he wanted fans to feel like they were in for something special whenever he was in the ring.

Speaking on Booker T's Hall of Fame podcast, the veteran noted that everyone is aware now about sports entertainment being scripted. However, he stated he wanted WWE fans to believe they were getting something special when he wrestled and make them feel for the opponent he is facing.

"I mean it's 2024 now, everybody knows what we do is scripted, it's sports entertainment. But I always wanted to make it my goal when I walk to the ring that the people's reaction is like, 'Okay, now it's getting real, like now we're in for something special,'" said Gunther. "And I always try to get the people to forget about the fact that what we do is entertainment and just be in the moment and make them feel for my opponent and that's what I'm always aiming for. It was reported earlier this week that Randy Orton reached a contract extension with WWE. It will be interesting to see if The Legend Killer can win the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31.
