WWE Superstar Gunther has held the World Heavyweight Championship since SummerSlam 2024. However, the Intercontinental Championship has been away from the grasp of the Imperium faction for over six months. Recently, The Ring General asked Ludwig Kaiser to bring back the prestigious title to the group.

Gunther held the IC Title for 666 days before losing it to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL. After The Showcase of The Immortals, he transitioned to the world title scene and ultimately captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest at The Biggest Party of The Summer.

Meanwhile, Ludwig Kaiser failed to win the Intercontinental Title in a Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series: WarGames. Later, he battled reigning champion Bron Breakker for the title in a singles match on the December 16, 2024, installment of RAW. However, the 34-year-old again failed to win the championship. The Imperium members were featured in a backstage segment after last night's show went off the air.

The European Elegance apologized to The Ring General for not capturing the coveted title. However, the 37-year-old champion was not appeased and left no stone unturned to motivate Kaiser.

"This is not about your ego. You better swallow your ego and focus on what's important, and that is for you to win the Intercontinental Championship, and bring it to us, to Imperium," he said.

Gunther added:

"This championship gold, claiming this and holding it is one of the most difficult things in our business, and to do so, you gotta act with your head and not your heart."

Chris Van Vliet predicts Gunther will face the 29-year-old WWE star during RAW on Netflix premiere

At the RAW on Netflix Kickoff Show last week, Logan Paul was officially drafted to the red brand's roster. While addressing fans, The Maverick declared his intention to pursue the World Heavyweight Championship. Later that night, The Ring General responded to Paul's claim.

On his INSIGHT podcast, Chris Van Vliet predicted that fans might see Gunther defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul on the debut edition of RAW on Netflix on January 6.

"It is not official yet, but it looks like we’re gonna see Logan Paul vs. Gunther. That’s big," he said.

It remains to be seen if Kaiser will soon win the Intercontinental Title and whether Gunther will face Logan Paul on January 6, 2025.
