The pro wrestling industry is experiencing a surge in popularity, and promotions outside WWE are benefiting from this growth. It was recently announced that multi-time World Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley will be appearing at an event for Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).
Since 2012, Foley has not stepped into the ring, announcing his retirement after doctors advised him about it. The King of Hardcore participated in the Royal Rumble 2012, and thereafter he has made sporadic appearances as an on-screen personality in the sports entertainment juggernaut.
GCW recently announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the legendary Mick Foley will be joining the lineup for their upcoming event, "Dream On." The Hall of Famer will make a special appearance on November 23, 2024.
Other notable stars confirmed for Dream On include 12-time World Champion Kurt Angle, Matt Cardona, Zilla Fatu, and a talented roster of wrestlers from the independent circuit.

Wrestling veteran says Mick Foley wasn't worried about one of the most iconic bumps in WWE history
In a brutal Hell in a Cell match at the 1998 King of the Ring pay-per-view, the erstwhile Mankind faced The Undertaker. Fans were stunned as Foley took two terrifying falls from the cage, miraculously surviving the dangerous stunt.
During his appearance on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine with Mac Davis, wrestling veteran Teddy Long recalled that Mick Foley was not afraid to perform risky stunts.
"People didn't understand, Mick started in that backyard wrestling. Really they were slamming each other on garbage cans, tables on the ground, everywhere. So he wasn't worried about that fall... I mean, you gotta come at a distance, but when you land, you land. So, just congratulations to him, man, he certainly made that match," Long said.
