The Undertaker never failed to put fear into his WWE opponents when he wrestled full-time. According to the Hall of Famer, fans don't realize how good one of his former rivals was for being a great worker in the business.
The name in question here is John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL), a three-time Tag Team Champion, a one-time European Champion, a 17-time Hardcore Champion, a one-time United States Champion, a one-time Intercontinental Champion, and a one-time WWE World Champion.
After Ron Simmons retired in 2004, JBL transitioned from his APA (Acolytes Protection Agency) gimmick to The Wrestling God heel persona. Before the two men retired from in-ring competition, The Deadman and Layfield clashed in several one-on-one matches.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, The Undertaker mentioned that his underrated WWE rival was JBL. The Phenom shared that the former United States Champion showcased his true abilities by cutting promos, sticking with his heel character, and even wrestling skills.

“Because he had his big run late, I don't think people really realize how good JBL was. He came in as a cowboy, and then he was an acolyte in the APA. But not until he became JBL did I think he really got to showcase his true ability. Not only as being able to cut promos, but also his work as a heel, as a big heel. He's a big dude, but he was a chickens**t heel, and that's sometimes tough to do. Just like being an amateur wrestler," Taker said. [H/T: CVV]
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion also mentioned that The Wrestling God always found ways to break The Deadman's fearsome character during dark matches.
"It's hard to conquer the ego part, but he was a lot of fun to work with. I worked with him. I don't know how many hundreds of times in dark matches after TV tapings. It was always just a constant, trying to get me to crack kind of deal," he revealed. [H/T: CVV]

The Undertaker criticizes a current WWE Superstar for breaking character on social media
The WWE Hall of Famer recently opened up about former Universal Champion Braun Strowman frequently breaking character on social media.
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker cited The Monster Among Men as an example to share how current WWE Superstars break character on social media way too often.
"I’ve talked to Braun [Strowman] several times, like, 'Here you are, The Monster Amongst Men,' and then you look on your social media and you’ve got daisy duke shorts on, bunny ears, and you’re hopping around. I love Braun, but you can’t sometimes," The Undertaker said.
