CM Punk’s WWE return has shaken up sports entertainment to the core. An undefeated UFC fighter recently made a major claim about the former World Heavyweight Champion.
WWE and UFC are now working under the TKO banner, and many expect to see a lot of crossovers over the coming years. UFC fighter Oban Elliott teased a potential agreement with the Stamford-based wrestling promotion’s CM Punk down the line.
Oban Elliott competed in his second fight for the promotion at UFC 304. The Welsh Gangster took down his opponent to win his second consecutive fight and remain undefeated.
During the presser after the fight, Oban Elliott was asked about his recent visit to WWE, and he teased a potential appearance at the Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event. He followed it up by claiming that he would need to add a bit of WWE into his game and claimed that CM Punk would be up for walking him out in MSG if the company did not host a fight in Chicago.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"I'll have to mix it up, get a bit of WWE in there or maybe I get CM Punk walk out with me in MSG. I know he'd be up for that. [Maybe save that for Chicago] Yeah, well, have [sic] we fighting in Chicago anytime soon in the UFC? [Not that we've heard of] Yeah, I'd do that, Punk will be with me." [7:55 - 8:15]

UFC has a show in November 2024 in Madison Square Garden. It’d be interesting to see whether Oban Elliott gets a fight for the show, and if Punk agrees to walk out with him for the fight.
The Best in the World himself was recently cleared for an in-ring return. He has only featured in the 2024 Royal Rumble for the company since his return, and he will again take to the ring at WWE SummerSlam.
CM Punk isn't the only WWE star on Oban Elliott's radar
Oban Elliott is willing to add a few aspects related to WWE to his character in UFC. Other than having CM Punk walk him out at the MSG if he's scheduled for a fight at the event, he wanted to come out to one of two legend’s music for the show.
In the post-fight presser, The Welsh Gangster stated that he might walk out to Hulk Hogan or The Rock’s song if he got the fight for the show.
"Well, if they give me the MSG card, right, I might walk out to Hulk Hogan's song or The Rock's song and I wanted to do that for this fight, but uh, Shaky was like 'Na, na, na, stick with your thing.'" [7:39 - 7:52]
Fans will be thrilled to see aspects of both promotions bleed into each other after the TKO takeover. It’s been great to see Oban Elliott pull a lot more eyeballs by benefiting by associating with some sports entertainment legends.
