Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has been under investigation over the past few years for multiple alleged misconducts, including the most recent lawsuit filed by the global juggernaut's former employee Janel Grant. The latter's attorney, Ann Callis, issued a press release following a major development today.

Earlier today, Mr. McMahon resolved his SEC charges relating to certain undisclosed settlements. The 79-year-old agreed to pay $400,000 in damages and reimburse the Stamford-based company $1.3 million.

Janel Grant's attorney issued a public statement claiming that the SEC's findings have confirmed that Vince McMahon repeatedly broke the law to cover up his horrifying deeds. Ann Callis noted that the charges prove that the NDA, which her client was forced to sign violates the law. She added the case against Mr. McMahon and John Laurinaitis must be heard in court.

“During his time leading WWE, Vince McMahon acted as if rules did not apply to him, and now we have confirmation that he repeatedly broke the law to cover up his horrifying behavior, including human trafficking. The SEC’s charges prove that the NDA Vince McMahon coerced Ms. Grant into signing violates the law, and therefore her case must be heard in court. While prosecutors for the Southern District of New York continue their criminal investigation, we look forward to bringing forward new evidence in our civil case about the sexual exploitation Ms. Grant endured at WWE by Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis," Ann Callis stated.

Vince McMahon also issued a statement following recent developments

After reportedly reaching a deal with the SEC, Vince issued a statement on his X (fka Twitter) account.

McMahon noted that the case is closed. He added that the speculations made against him were misleading and misguided. Vince claimed that the whole debacle arose due to minor accounting errors. The former CEO of WWE stated he was pleased to put everything behind him.

"The case is closed. Today ends nearly three years of investigation by different government agencies. There has been a great deal of speculation about what exactly the government was was investigating and what the outcome would be. As today's resolution shows, much of that was speculation and misleading. In the end, there was never anything more to this than minor accounting errors with regards to some personal payments that i made several years ago while I was CEO of WWE. I'm thrilled that I can now put all this behind me," he wrote.
