Brock Lesnar has faced many former world champions in WWE and conquered most of them in the past two decades. Recently, Kurt Angle detailed his shoot match with The Beast Incarnate.
There have been times when wrestlers have gotten into a "shoot" match for a reason unknown to the crowd. Fans often hear stories about these bouts, which are never broadcast on television. One such story was about a match between Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle when they were active competitors on the same brand.
During an appearance on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, Kurt Angle cleared the air of a few misheard stories and rumors about his supposed "shoot" match with Brock Lesnar. However, he details what happened between the two and how he won the battle over The Beast Incarnate.
"I let it go that week, and the following week, he [Brock Lesnar] was in the ring with The Big Show; he weighed about 530 at this time. They were wrestling for real; shoot wrestling, and Brock [Lesnar] was throwing him around like a ragdoll, and I'm like, H*ly cr*p, I might not be able to beat this guy. So, I was really nervous," Angle said.

The WWE Hall of Famer signaled Show to exit and started a shoot match with Lesnar:
"I walked up behind Brock and tapped on his shoulder and said, It's time to go, Brock. So, he had to go. We went for about 15 minutes, and it was a close match. I took him down a couple of times. He didn't take me down at all. So, I won the match, but I didn't dominate him like a lot of people say," Angle explained. [From 29:12 to 30:05]
WWE Hall of Famer once named Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar as dream opponents
Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar went to war on different occasions during the Ruthless Aggression Era and made SmackDown one of the hottest brands in WWE for years to come. However, there are many names the two stars haven't faced in their tenure.
During a K & S WrestleFest Signing, Bret Hart was asked about his dream opponents, and The Hitman spoke highly of Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar as he knew Angle wanted to work with him.
"Kurt Angle would have been one of my primary guys. He always wanted to work with me and I wish I could've worked with him. I would have loved to work with Brock Lesnar just because I always heard he was a good pro in the ring," Hart said. [H/T - Fightful]
Unfortunately, any rendition of the match cannot happen as both WWE Hall of Famers have retired from in-ring competition, and Brock Lesnar hasn't appeared since SummerSlam 2023.
