How former WWE star was pranked by officials while trapped under the ring (Exclusive)

Former WWE Superstar Hornswoggle has been involved in some of the most entertaining (and controversial) storylines in company history. From playing Vince McMahon's "illegitimate" son to partaking in the WeeLC Match, the real-life Dylan Mark has done it all.

Hornswoggle was recently a guest on the What Were They Thinking? podcast with host JBL and Gerland Brisco on Sportskeeda Backstage Pass when he recalled an incident wherein he was trapped under the ring with a chicken by WWE officials. As Dylan recalled, he and other superstars were on a tour of Mexico when he found himself under the ring with a rooster.

"I don't like birds. Birds are awful; just in general, unpredictable, snap at a dime. This is a rooster now looking at me... in essentially a cage with me. It would go back out and they would kick it under. It would go back out and they would kick it under." [12:51 onwards]

He continued about how he came up with a solution:

"And now I see flashbulbs under the ring, and I'm shirtless cause I'm changing. Finally, I see this kendo stick and I say guys, 'One of two things is gonna happen: I'm gonna beat the s*it ouf of this rooster or I'm going to come out of the ring, just give away my spot, because I'm not going to get pecked and mauled by this rooster." [13:13 onwards]

Funnily enough, the whole back and forth with the chicken was caught on camera by none other than Hornswoggle's kayfabe father in WWE, Fit Finlay.
