Cody Rhodes has held the Undisputed WWE Championship since WrestleMania XL. A former writer for the Stamford-based promotion recently predicted how long The American Nightmare would remain champion.
Since returning to the Stamford-based company in 2022, Rhodes has insisted that his goal was to finish his story and capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. He accomplished the mission earlier this year in April when he ended Roman Reigns' historic title reign to capture the championship at The Show of Shows. He has since successfully defended the title against multiple superstars. While discussing his latest successful defense against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam, former writer, Freddie Prinze Jr. disclosed how long he thinks the 39-year-old will continue holding the belt.
The Hollywood star claimed on his Wrestling with Freddie podcast that Rhodes will remain the Undisputed WWE Champion for the upcoming year. He noted that the champion's numbers had been very good, and even with the odds stacked against him he managed to pull off a remarkable victory over Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules Match with the title up for grabs at SummerSlam.
"Cody's numbers as champ are so good, he won't be losing any time soon against anybody. So, that's your safest pick of every pay-per-view for the next year is Cody Rhodes winning. Regardless of the odds stacked against him, he won [against Sikoa]," he said. [28:24 - 28:36]

Cody Rhodes could defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Roman Reigns, says ex-host
While discussing Roman Reigns' return at SummerSlam on his The Wrestling Matt podcast, former WWE RAW Talk host, Matt Camp predicted that The Head of the Table will eventually square off against Cody Rhodes for a third time after they exchanged victories at WrestleManias 39 and 40.
The former host claimed the match could happen on the red brand when the show moves to Netflix at the beginning of next year.
"I don't know how long they wanna wait on Cody and Roman. Let me throw this out here, you know they wanna make a splash for Netflix, you know it, as they should. [...] That first episode on Netflix is gonna be loaded up. Do we see Cody [vs.] Roman on that? Do we see Cody [vs.] Rock on that? I think it's absolutely in play. Absolutely in play. I think we're getting a massive match," he said.
It will be interesting to see whether Roman Reigns goes after Rhodes' title now that he has returned or feud with his cousin, Solo Sikoa, over the leadership of The Bloodline.
