Nikki Garcia, formerly known as Nikki Bella in WWE, has been in the news of late due to her divorce proceedings with Artem Chigvintsev. As per TMZ, the court has ordered the couple to share joint custody of their 4-year-old son, Matteo.
A couple of months back, the former WWE star filed a domestic violence case against Chigvintsev, who was later arrested. Soon, divorce proceedings began, with things seemingly getting ugly as both sides fired accusations against each other.
At one point, it was even reported that Nikki Bella was the primary aggressor during the domestic violence situation, effectively turning the tables on the case. Now, the court seems to have given its order in Artem Chigvintsev's favor. According to TMZ, the former Dancing with the Stars choreographer requested joint custody of his and Nikki Bella's son, Matteo, which the court granted.
The divorce trial would begin later in the year in December. Until then, the court has also ordered Bella and Chigvintsev to take co-parenting classes.
The WWE Hall of Famer has maintained silence over the issue since the news of her divorce broke out. It remains to be seen how things pan out in the coming weeks and if the case witnesses any more twists and turns.
