Huge tension erupts between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens on WWE SmackDown; two stars get physical

Tensions boiled over between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown. The two stars even got physical, and Randy Orton tried to calm them down.

In the main event of the show, the former Universal Champion teamed up with The Viper to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match. During the opening segment of the show, The American Nightmare offered to be in the match as well, but KO refused, as he already has a match against The Bloodline at Bad Blood 2024.

Kevin Owens is still not happy that the Undisputed WWE Champion is teaming up with Roman Reigns. They both had an issue with The Original Tribal Chief in the past. During a backstage segment, KO told Cody Rhodes to stay behind and not interfere in his and Randy's match. However, The Apex Predator told Rhodes that he could show up if something happened.

During the tag team match, Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga showed up at ringside, and Cody came out to deal with them. However, when Kevin Owens hit Solo Sikoa with a Stunner and covered him, the referee was not able to make the count, as Jacob Fatu tossed The American Nightmare into the official. This allowed The Bloodline to get the win.

After the bout, Kevin Owens got into an argument with Cody Rhodes. KO was not happy that the latter got involved in the match. They even got physical, as they put their hands on each other, although it was not serious. The two stars even embraced each other in the end.
