Hulk Hogan lied on Logan Paul's podcast, WWE veteran believes

Hulk Hogan discussed his wrestling career during a recent appearance on Logan Paul's podcast. According to legendary wrestling booker and manager Dutch Mantell, The Hulkster almost certainly lied while reflecting on his WCW spell.

Hogan worked for WCW between 1994 and 2000 after leaving WWE. As the company's marquee name, he was given more creative input than other wrestlers on the roster. However, speaking on IMPAULSIVE, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer claimed he never used his creative control card in WCW.

Mantell, formerly known as Zeb Colter in WWE, reacted to Hogan's quote on Story Time with Dutch Mantell:

"I don't believe that at all. There's a lot of guys that will do that even if they don't have creative control. They will come up with things like, 'Ah.' Say, Bret Hart, 'No, I don't like that.'" [15:49 – 16:07]

Hogan's WCW run is best remembered for his 1996 heel turn and association with the nWo faction. He won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times.

Dutch Mantell on Hulk Hogan's backstage power

Before joining WCW, Hulk Hogan had already headlined WWE's biggest event WrestleMania eight times. He also became a household name thanks to his appearances in several films and television shows.

Dutch Mantell added that he heard stories from former WCW talents about Hogan getting his way behind the scenes:

"I do know, and I've heard this from some of the guys, if he didn't like it, you didn't do it. Because he was the big star in WCW, the big star, and if he went and complained to the head bosses, well, they'd have to listen to him. He was the quarterback. He was the one they were basing those ratings on, so if he wasn't happy, nobody was happy." [16:25 – 16:50]

In the same interview with Logan Paul, Hogan revealed he "made a lot more money" than one of his most iconic WWE rivals.
