Hulk Hogan thinks WWE star could be the next Steve Austin or The Rock (Exclusive)

Hulk Hogan was WWE's marquee name in the 1980s and early 1990s before The Rock and Steve Austin became the company's top stars. In an exclusive interview, The Hulkster gave his take on whether Bron Breakker could be wrestling's next main-event attraction.

Breakker, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, has made a huge impact since moving from NXT to the main roster in February. The 26-year-old will challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at Money in the Bank on July 6.

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter, Hogan predicted big things for Breakker in the future:

"He's something else. He's wise beyond his years. Number one, to be that intense and to know the red light's on and to be able to stay in that zone. It's very impressive, so if they do the right thing with him that could be your next Stone Cold, The Rock, or Hulk Hogan. He could be the guy." [1:37 – 2:01]

Hulk Hogan addresses Bill Goldberg-Bron Breakker comparisons

In the late 1990s, Hulk Hogan was part of the WCW roster when Bill Goldberg began making his name in the wrestling business. Like Goldberg, Bron Breakker uses the spear as a signature move and bases his offense around explosive athleticism.

Hogan understands why so many people compare the two-time NXT Champion to his former WCW co-worker:

"Yeah, yeah, a lot of similarities, a lot of similarities. He's just got that extra spice. Bill had a certain thing, I had a certain thing, The Rock had a certain thing. Bron Breakker has all of the above, plus he's got a little extra spice on his plate. I mean, he's ramped it up, and he's just getting started. I can't even imagine what's gonna happen when he really figures it out." [2:07 – 2:29]

On June 24, Breakker speared Sheamus at ringside after The Celtic Warrior interfered in his match against Ludwig Kaiser on RAW.
