A former WWE Champion rumored to depart the Stamford-based promotion has weighed in on his experience working under both, Triple H and Vince McMahon. The star in question is Bobby Lashley.

The 48-year-old was among the most dominant performers under former WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon. He won several championships under the latter. However, since Triple H took over Lashley's star power began to fade away. He suffered an injury while training ahead of his first-round match in the King of The Ring tournament, and has been absent since.

During a recent appearance on The Laboratory Podcast, Bobby Lashley stated he had a great relationship with McMahon, who saw him as a star. The former United States Champion added he had not worked enough with Triple H to form a connection with the latter. Lashley also mentioned The Game had "his guys," who he backs.

"I had a connection with Vince [McMahon]. Vince understood me. Vince was big on the show. He looked at people that were stars. He saw that in me. There were a lot of little nuggets that Vince would give me throughout my career and tell me different things. Vince looked at me like, ‘I can tell Bobby works his a** off. I can send him anywhere around the country to represent the brand.’ He looked at me like a star. I like Vince. I haven’t really had too much of a connection with Hunter. Hunter has his guys. I’ve tried to, but we haven’t really worked enough together to get to know each other," he said. [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]

WWE Hall of Famer believes Bobby Lashley should reunite with his former stablemates in TNA

Bobby Lashley and MVP joined forces to form The Hurt Business in 2020. Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander soon joined the duo, and the group became an integral part of WWE RAW during the pandemic. Unfortunately, the faction was disbanded in 2022.

Shelton Benjamin was released from his contract last year, and the two original members are reportedly set to leave WWE as well. On the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, former World Champion, Booker T stated the three should reunite in TNA instead of AEW to get more screen time.

"It's not so saturated in TNA where these guys would be seen and highlighted on a weekly basis. Of course, they could end up in AEW, and of course, they would probably make a whole lot more money. If done right in TNA, the money would still be there for them because they could go out and do other projects. [...] I think it's a win-win situation over there," he said. [H/T WrestlingInc]

Bobby Lashley has previously wrestled for TNA. It remains to be seen if The All Mighty will return to the wrestling promotion amid rumors of him appearing on AEW programming.
