Former WWE United States Champion Booker T recently questioned the company's decision regarding Survivor Series: WarGames in Chicago last year. The legendary wrestler was not a fan of the cold temperatures in the Windy City and jokingly claimed that he almost died because of it.
Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 was held at the Allstate Arena, with Booker T serving as analyst on the preshow and postshow. They were outside the arena under very cold weather, which was not a fun time.
Speaking on the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, the five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion dreaded going to Minnesota for NXT Deadline. He mentioned being in Chicago last year and jokingly said that he almost died due to the cold. Minnesota is also known for its harsh weather at this time of the year.
"I did almost die (laughs). I'm still feeling that. I don't know what the hell they were thinking putting us out. It was so freaking cold. My mouth was frozen, my hands were frozen. They give us this little thing to keep our hands warm. Put it in your pocket, it didn't work… I don't know whose bright idea it was to put us in sub zero temperatures. I almost died. I think I got sick after that," Booker said. [From 05:25 to 06:13]

Booker T thinks NXT prospect will be a star in WWE
One of the top prospects in the stacked women's division of NXT is Wren Sinclair, who previously wrestled for Booker T's Reality of Wrestling. Booker recently stated on his Hall of Fame podcast that he always thought that Sinclair was a special talent.
"I always thought Wren was a star when she came to Reality of Wrestling. I always said, 'Man, this girl can make it to the next level.' To watch her now, what I always think about, what I always talk about to be able to play your role until your turn comes, until you get your shot. When you do get your shot, you make the best out of it. She has done that to the best of her abilities," Booker said. [From 20:18 to 20:41]
