According to a veteran, former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon was not really a "creative genius" despite being infamous for having ruthless business acumen. The veteran in question, Vince Russo, recently talked about McMahon's character as a booker.
This week on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws show, Vince Russo discussed Bray Wyatt's creativity in building characters. He also discussed how Vince McMahon is not to be credited with making creative decisions from the ground up.
"I am not bitter or anything like that. I mean, bro, he was not the creative genius that people think he was. I mean, I am just telling you. This was his strong point, without a shadow of a doubt, better than anybody in the world."
Russo further said that although McMahon could not think of new ideas himself, he excelled at enhancing others' talents if he chose to.

"You give him a complete script, complete script A through Z, 12 pages. He will go through that script, find the nuances, punch little things up, and if that script was an eight, it is now a 10. But you have gotta give him a complete script. The blank piece of paper, write a show, create characters? Horrible. Absolutely horrible. You had to give him something that he could work with," Russo noted. [12:30 onwards]
Vince Russo believes that WWE made a mistake during Uncle Howdy's recent segment
In the latest episode of RAW, Bo Dallas was seen sitting across from Uncle Howdy and having a deep conversation.
This signified the conflict between the two alter-egos. However, Vince Russo thinks Michael Cole should have explained the context to make casual WWE viewers understand.
Speaking on Legion of RAW, Russo stated:
"You watched the Bo Dallas stuff. How many people watching that knew who Bo Dallas was? That's why I'm saying Michael Cole had to come and explain that. I guarantee you there were tens of thousands of people that did not know that was Bo Dallas and had no idea who it was. These things are important bro, they're very, very important." [28:16 onwards]
It remains to be seen how Wyatt Sicks' story progresses in WWE in the coming months.
