WWE is set to head to Saudi Arabia, and one veteran addressed his retirement plan in the coming years. Recently, former World Champion Rey Mysterio was asked about in-ring retirement, and the veteran detailed shocking but scrapped plans.

A few years ago, Rey Mysterio returned to WWE and introduced the world to Dominik Mysterio. The two even won championship gold in the company before they went their separate paths. However, The Master of 619 returned to the Stamford-based promotion with a goal to retire from in-ring competition.

In an interview with The Schmo, the 49-year-old veteran stated he plans to retire from in-ring competition before the wheels fall off. Moreover, he added he had a shocking plan to retire and pass on the torch to Dominik Mysterio. However, he thinks it's unlikely, and those plans are potentially scrapped:

"I got to retire. I got to retire before the wheels fall off as a matter of fact. My plan obviously didn't work out the way I wanted to. I wanted to pass on the torch to my son. It seems like now my son is passing on the torch to me. That's crazy," Mysterio said. (From 08:46 to 09:02)

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio warns Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio entered into a heated feud with Rey Mysterio when the second-generation star targeted his own family. The two settled the scores in the coming months but often ended up sharing the ring on opposite sides.

In the same interview, the WWE Hall of Famer questioned some of his son's choices in the WWE alongside The Judgment Day. Moreover, he warned Dirty Dom not to cross paths with him again on Monday Night RAW:

"Man, I think the moment he turned on myself and Edge. It is a moment that I don't like to go back and remember, but the fact, that he did what he did. Hey! He decided to take his own path, which I'm very understanding about it. But at the end of the day, don't cross my path once again," Mysterio said. (From 07:10 to 07:32)

In the past few months, the two have had a couple of matches, and more encounters could likely take place in the coming weeks.
