WWE has changed several belt designs under Triple H's new regime and received positive feedback from fans and veterans alike. Recently, a decorated multi-time champion gave his thoughts on the newly introduced belts.
Earlier this month, Triple H shocked the audience when he introduced the new World Tag Team Championship for Awesome Truth. The new titles received positive feedback, and multi-time Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy commented on the new design.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the 11-time WWE Tag Team Champion gave his two cents on the new titles introduced under the new regime.
"I like the new design, better than the penny belts, as people have called them or whatever. So, it is what it is. I would consider that as an upgrade, you know, when it comes to talking about versions." [From 00:20 to 00:38]

He also spoke briefly about the penny belts and explained the existence of the old titles under the previous regime.
"I guess I get why they were doing the red and blue titles. They were really trying to brand and promote, specifically the RAW and SmackDown brands, and they have done a good job at that over the years. But, I think it's one of those things where it's much better if you have like a more classy (...) A title that seems very valid, that seems like it has equity that looks like a cool trophy that everybody would want to win. I feel like that means more than having something that you're using to try and push as a branding point for your promotion. [From 01:40 to 02:15]

The new titles have already been defended on WWE RAW
WWE has given utmost importance to the tag team division under Triple H's regime, and the titles were finally split and assigned to their respective brands after WrestleMania XL.
The red brand received the World Tag Team Championship, and the blue brand got the WWE Tag Team Championship. While A-Town Down Under has challengers lined up, Awesome Truth already had a successful title defense on Monday Night RAW.
A week after The Miz and R-Truth received new titles, The Awesome Truth defeated Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa (DIY) in a title match.
