Liv Morgan will be in action on the upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown. She is set to face former tag team partner and top star, Rhea Ripley.
Earlier this year, the former SmackDown Women's Champion came close to winning the Royal Rumble. She was amongst the final two competitors alongside Ripley before being eliminated emphatically.
Speaking in a recent interview with Megan Morant, Morgan reflected on coming close to winning this year's Royal Rumble. This led to her laying out the challenge for next week.
"Thank you so much for saying that Megan, but you're right, I've come so close to victory. I was literally inches away from winning the Royal Rumble match. And it must be big enough for some people but it's not just good enough for me, so whenever I think about the Royal Rumble now, I can't help but think about Rhea Ripley. And I heard what Dom said about her earlier, and I understand why he loves her so much," said Morgan.

Morgan further praised Ripley for her strength and other accolades. She continued:
"She's beautiful, strong, smart, powerful. I get it and I love that for him, but some people might even say Rhea seems unstoppable and that no one in the right mind would ever consider challenging her. That's exactly why I'm gonna do it. I challenge Rhea Ripley to a match next week. Some might say that's crazy, some might even say that, that is insane. But Megan, that is exactly what I live for. Watch me," added Liv. [0:24-1:24]

Liv Morgan addressed her future outside of WWE
During a recent interview with Wes Styles, Liv Morgan addressed her future outside of WWE.
The 28-year-old briefly discussed the idea of working in the acting industry. Morgan said:
“In getting the opportunities that I’m fortunate enough to have in acting, I find so many similarities to my work at WWE. I feel like my work at WWE has really prepped me for that atmosphere, which I’ve fallen in love with. I love being a character and I love just testing out what I can do. My real goal is to see what I can accomplish, what I can achieve, and how, hopefully, great that I can be. I’m just exploring and having fun right now, but it’s definitely something I’d love to get into more."
Regardless, Liv Morgan seems to be enjoying her time in WWE and is coming on the back of a very successful 2022.
