Former WWE Champion Big E hasn't wrestled in a while. However, new and old faces are privy to his talents and wouldn't mind getting in the ring with him. Recently, Bill Goldberg addressed a potential match against E.

Big E has often joked about "Big Meaty Men" competing in professional wrestling. The one-third of The New Day has come face-to-face against Goldberg and paid tribute to the WWE Hall of Famer several times. However, E never got the chance to have a big meaty match against the former Universal Champion.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Bill Goldberg addressed a potential match with the former WWE Champion and his passion for "Big Meaty Men" matches in the industry. He also stated he doesn't do comedic matches inside the square circle.

"I’ll give it to him tomorrow. We can leave that part out [big meaty men slapping meat] of it. Right when he says it to me Goldberg’s gonna have to drop him. But yeah, I don't do comedy. Like, I never really meshed well with that. It's like, you know, the Indiana Jones and the guy coming in and flashing his sword and you just pull a gun out and shoot him. It's just that's me. Less is more," Goldberg said. (H/T Chris Van Vliet)

Former WWE Champion Big E addresses potential return to in-ring competition

In March 2022, Big E suffered a career-threatening injury in a tag team match against Sheamus and Ridge Holland on Friday Night SmackDown. A botched spot on the outside broke the former WWE Champion's neck and the 38-year-old star hasn't returned to in-ring competition.

In a chat with Chris Vannini on Getting Over, the former multi-time WWE Tag Team Champion addressed his future inside the square circle. The former Intercontinental Champion also stated the company and doctors won't clear him until he's completely healed from the injury.

"I have no issues with pain, no issues with discomfort, weakness, any of those things. My strength is great. The only issue is my C1 is healing fibrously, which is great for normal day-to-day life, but it's not turning into new bone and ossifying yet. They're not going to clear me until that happens. It's obviously a very important bone. Right now, that is the waiting game," E said.

Meanwhile, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods continued their journey as a tag team in the Stamford-based promotion.
