Kevin Owens walked out of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event with the old-school title and sent Cody Rhodes packing with a devastating package piledriver. Recently, Michin opened up about the spot and revealed she texted The Prizefighter after the spot.
Saturday Night's Main Event didn't go according to Cody Rhodes' plan. While The American Nightmare retained the gold, he didn't get to walk out with the title. In fact, he left on a stretcher after Kevin Owens hit him with a package piledriver and took the Winged Eagle Title with him.
In an interview with Belal Jaber on Wesh 2 News, Michin reacted to Kevin Owens' dangerous piledriver on Cody Rhodes from Saturday Night's Main Event. She revealed that she texted him after the spot, as she's been a lifelong Kevin Steen fan.
"Even on that night, when I first started wrestling, I've always been a Kevin Steen fan: massive. The package piledriver was [shocked] What is this? So, to see him do it on Saturday Night's Main Event. I sent him a message, and it was just me screaming. I was losing my mind. I felt like the biggest fan at that moment," Michin said. WWE veteran reacts to Kevin Owens' actions at Saturday Night's Main Event
Kevin Owens became one of the most hated stars in the Stamford-based promotion when he put two major WWE names (Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton) on a stretcher and possibly on the shelf for the foreseeable future.
Speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the veteran spoke highly of The Prizefighter's work at Saturday Night's Main Event and took back his former criticism of the 40-year-old WWE star.
"You know I've had criticism of him in the past just for the way his body looked, but he's perfect now. Now, the people seriously don't like Kevin Owens [After Saturday Night's Main Event], but he could turn good. I mean the good guy at the drop of a hat, but him and Cody [Rhodes] had a good match," Mantell said.
The Prizefighter has been appearing everywhere with the Winged Eagle Title, as the champion was written off television following the event in Long Island.
