Since his retirement tour announcement at Money in the Bank 2024, the WWE Universe has not stopped talking about John Cena. The legend has already stated that he will retire from WWE after a series of matches next year and a list of stars have since expressed their desire to face the 16-time world champion.
During a recent appearance on Fanatics Fest NYC, Drew McIntyre addressed John Cena's retirement tour and stated that he would love to get in the ring with the latter. Not only that, but The Scottish Warrior claimed he would tear Cena apart on the microphone and in the ring once he got an opportunity.
The 39-year-old also added that he would send Cena into retirement and expressed his desire to send CM Punk along with him.
"I guarantee I'll be pushing and I'll nudging them left and right to make it happen because the amount of stories I've got about Punk and things that happened when I was younger, I've got tenfold on him. There's never been a one-on-one match, and if I have to drive management crazy, I'll drive them crazy, drive John crazy. I'm gonna get that match, and I'll tear him apart on the microphone, which not many people can do, in the ring, and send him packing into a happy retirement - and hopefully Punk along with him," said McIntyre.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Drew McIntyre and John Cena have never faced each other in a singles match before. A battle between both men would surely be worth watching. Drew has won the WWE Championship twice and the World Heavyweight Championship once, among the seven titles in his WWE career so far.
Becky Lynch heaped praise on John Cena recently
While The Man exited WWE after her contract expired sometime back, she had nothing but praise for John Cena during a recent appearance on the Games with Names podcast.
The former women's champion praised Cena for his calm attitude and stated that there was nothing left for him to do in the squared circle. She was appreciative of the fact that Cena always took time out to advise others on whatever their queries were.
"I mean, he's just done everything fantastically well. He's handled his wrestling career with such class, and now his acting career and just everything he does just turns to gold, but he's just such a great human being. I think his mindset is always like, always ask him about it because he's so level, right? He's so calm, he thinks deeply about things, and he's always there if you need advice or whatever else. He just has time for people. He's just an all around good dude. He is. Shout out to John Cena," said Lynch.
There is no official update on when John Cena's retirement tour might begin. Fans have been waiting for the 16-time world champion to return to the squared circle for one last run.
