R-Truth has been a thorn in the side of Pete Dunne on WWE RAW for the past several weeks. The former often mistakenly refers to Dunne by his former name, "Butch," which The Bruiserweight absolutely cannot stand.

Frustrated, Pete Dunne demanded a match against the 60-time WWE champion, whose accolades include 54 reigns as the 24/7 Champion, two reigns as Hardcore Champion, another two reigns as United States Champion and two runs with the World Tag Team Championship. The one-on-one match was officially scheduled for the latest episode of Monday Night RAW in Houston, Texas.

R-Truth made his entrance, singing his theme song as usual and hyping up the fans with his signature "What's Up" chants. However, this was cut short when Pete Dunne ambushed him from behind. Dunne unleashed a vicious beatdown, landing a flurry of kicks and punches on the veteran along the entrance ramp.

WWE officials and referees eventually intervened to separate Dunne from Truth. The furious former NXT Tag Team Champion was repeatedly shouting, "I'm nobody's Butch!" as he walked away, sending a clear message to R-Truth.

This feud between R-Truth and Pete Dunne seemed poised to conclude on RAW this week, but the attack has likely extended the rivalry. Fans can expect Truth to seek revenge in the coming weeks.
