WWE Superstars are preparing for a new year and getting ready for WrestleMania 41 season. This time of year is particularly tough for many people, and these real-life superstars are no different. A rising star is preparing for his final match of 2024 but has just issued a curious statement, which ended with a twist.
Grayson Waller had a roller-coaster of a year. The Aussie kicked off 2024 with a NXT return, then made his Royal Rumble debut. Waller and Austin Theory formed A-Town Down Under and topped the tag team division until leaving WrestleMania XL as WWE Tag Team Champions. They were dethroned 90 days later. Amid tension between the two, Waller and Theory continue to chase tag team gold but have feuded with Braun Strowman and Carmelo Hayes as of late.
The 21st Century Success Story is one of World Wrestling Entertainment's most outspoken heels, known to take savage shots at host cities and the fans that pack arenas in those markets. Ahead of tonight's non-televised WWE live event at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Waller took to X to pull a ruse and blast the fans of The Motor City.
"I’m in a really bad place right now. Not mentally, I’m just in Detroit," Grayson Waller wrote.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
A-Town Down Under has challenged for the WWE Tag Team Championship on the annual post-Christmas tour wrapping tonight. The opening night in Jacksonville saw DIY retain over A-Town Down Under, The Street Profits, and The Motor City Machine Guns. The same match took place Saturday in Orlando, then DIY retained over The Guns and A-Town Down Under on Sunday in Miami. Waller also lost a SmackDown dark match to Apollo Crews this past week in Tampa.
