Gunther is currently one of the top superstars on the WWE main roster. However, a former WWE employee recently criticized The Ring General.
The former employee in question is none other than Tommy Carlucci. On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Carlucci, who spent over 30 years in the Stamford-based company, slammed the World Heavyweight Champion for being "boring" while addressing the Austrian's segment with Sami Zayn last night on RAW.
The veteran disclosed that he does not care about The Ring General going head-to-head with Zayn in a World Heavyweight Championship match next week on the red brand.
"Can Gunther get anymore boring? Really. I'm not trying to be an a**hole about this whole thing, but he is so freaking boring even cutting a promo that at least he's trying to be exciting, but I'm not hooked. I'm not hooked at all. They've been shoving this down our throats for the last month. And you knew there was gonna be a payoff where Sami was gonna get his match. I don't give a s**t. I don't care, and I don't think anybody else cares either," he said. [17:23-17:52]

Jonathan Coachman wants WWE to retire the World Heavyweight Championship
In the same episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman claimed WWE should retire Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship.
The former Interim RAW General Manager suggested that the Stamford-based company have a single world champion to work on both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown.
"I'm praying that they see the light and that they drop the title at some point. But we know because Triple H believes that title is the most important thing to their respective shows. I'm begging them to go back to one World Heavyweight Title. Enough with the WWE. Enough with the World Title. Make it one and make the guy work his a** off on both shows, period, end of story. They will do it. They will do it," he said.
Gunther has had a significant push since joining the main roster in 2022. It will be interesting to see what the Triple H-led creative team has planned for the Austrian star in the coming weeks.
