Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon made a surprising claim about the legacy he has left behind. The 79-year-old decided to resign from the company earlier this year.

Netflix has released its "Mr. McMahon" docuseries, and the veteran opened up about his legacy in the promotion. He claimed that he didn't have one and that many have confused his on-screen character with who he is as a person.

"What's my legacy? You know, I don't have one. Everyone has a certain feeling about who they think Vince McMahon is. People really don't know me at all. A lot of people have confused who my character was on television and who I am. When I look in the mirror, I know who I'm looking at. I know the reflection," said McMahon.

Mr. McMahon then added that he's not sure if he has become his television character and stated that maybe he has become a blend of himself and his on-screen persona.

"Sometimes what happens is performers start believing in themselves. They start believing in their own character. The individual loses all sense of who they really are personally. They become the character. I'm wondering myself now. Which is the character, and which is me? I guess maybe it's a blend. I would suggest that one is exaggerated a little bit, but I'm not so sure which one," he added. [H/T: Jeremy Lambert of Fightful]

Former WWE star comments on the allegations against Vince McMahon

Alberto Del Rio recently shared his thoughts on the allegations against Vince McMahon.

Former WWE employee Janel Grant has accused McMahon of sex trafficking her during her time with the company. In a recent Q&A with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Del Rio said that he does not know what is going to happen with Vince McMahon moving forward. However, he noted that people need to hear both sides of the story to find out the truth.

"To be honest, I don't know what's gonna happen because the law system works in different ways in every state, but I can tell you this, the law system in America works and it's fair and they always find the truth. Whenever they find the truth, whatever the truth is, for one side or the other, it will be a matter of people deciding if they can take the truth or not." [1:51 – 2:25]
