This week on SmackDown, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens were in an all-out brawl. Former WWE head writer Vince Russo reviewed the show and spoke about the segment in particular.

The Viper was in a mood to fight this week as he called Kevin Owens out and the two battled it out in the ring. Despite several officials trying to separate the two men, KO hit a vicious Piledriver on Orton, leaving the latter shocked and unable to walk out of the arena on his own.

This week on BroDown, Russo mentioned that the Piledriver was not executed perfectly. He lauded Randy for selling the move but felt that KO could have delivered it in a way to make it look more devastating. The 63-year-old veteran pointed out that Orton's head was not even close to the mat, taking away a bit of the shine from the segment:

"I just felt what was really unfortunate about it is Randy sold his a** off and he did really well. The problem was that the Piledriver looked horrible. It looked like his head didn't come anywhere near the mat. I saw that immediately. He was trying to sell something that didn't look like it hurt him because he was nowhere close to the mat. That just took away from it a little for me." [From 9:33 onwards]

In the aftermath of the brawl, Randy Orton was rushed out of the building in a stretcher and taken to a medical facility in an ambulance. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was by The Viper's side and left the show to be with his long-time friend.
