WWE Superstars Bobby Lashley and MVP have been the talk of the town lately, as their contracts are reportedly set to expire. Meanwhile, Matt Camp has claimed that there were plans to re-form The Hurt Business alongside Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, and Omos.
The Hurt Business' sudden disbandment before WrestleMania 37 was controversial, as many believed the group still had much potential. Fans were hopeful that the Triple H-led creative team would revive the group. Sadly, the faction didn't reunite, and Lashley and MVP could leave the Stamford-based promotion in the coming weeks.
On The Wrestling Matt podcast, Matt Camp said creative pitches were made to re-form The Hurt Business. The Bump's former host claimed that names like Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, Omos, and Odyssey Jones would've joined the faction, but the management decided to create The Pride.
"There was talk of re-forming The Hurt Business, and they were going to put, I saw it with my own eyes, there were creative pitches to put Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams in the group. To put Odyssey Jones in the group, and I believe Omos was supposed to be part of the group. There were talks of doing it, but it didn't happen," Camp said. (From 31:25 to 31:55)

Camp's claims may hold merit, as he was part of WWE for a considerable amount of time.
Bobby Lashley hasn't competed in WWE since May 2024
Last year, Bobby Lashley couldn't perform at WrestleMania in California. Instead, he appeared on the show alongside his Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy before Gunther defended the Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.
Later, he spent months creating The Pride alongside The Street Profits. The group also added B-Fab to the mix and feuded with the Latino World Order for a while on Friday Night SmackDown. They also engaged in a rivalry with the Karrion Kross-led Final Testament.
After weeks of feuding, the two stables collided in a Philadelphia Street Fight at WrestleMania XL, where The All Mighty's team won. The two-time WWE Champion last competed for the promotion in May against Santos Escobar at a live event in France.
