Vince Russo got involved in a heated debate with New York Post columnist Phil Mushnick on a recent Piers Morgan Uncensored episode. Although Morgan appeared to enjoy the back-and-forth, Russo issued an apology to the show's producer after the recording.
The episode was supposed to focus on Netflix's Mr. McMahon docuseries. However, the main talking point revolved around Russo accusing Mushnick of making up lies in a 1992 article about former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo revealed to host Dr. Chris Featherstone and ex-WWE star EC3 that the producer had no problem with the argument:
"Chris, I immediately write the producer of the show, and I said, 'Greg, brother, I apologize. That was not planned. It was my Italian temper. This guy was just pushing the wrong buttons. I am so sorry.' Bro, he writes me back immediately, 'Vince, are you kidding me? Piers loves you, Vince! Piers loves you!'" [4:42 – 5:08]

How Vince Russo felt after the Piers Morgan Uncensored filming stopped
In 1992, Phil Mushnick and Vince Russo were invited to attend a symposium about WWE's drug-testing policy. While Russo recorded audio from the event for a newsletter, Mushnick wrote a negative article about the symposium even though he did not attend.
Although he thinks he was right to hit back at Mushnick, Russo initially questioned whether he was wrong to lose his cool:
"You guys know this, we've all lived this, when you do something and then it's over and you have that period of, 'What did I just do?' We've all had that, right? So, Chris, Mushnick pushes my buttons, I go off on this poor old man on television, right? So the show's over, so I had the three seconds of, 'What did you just do?'" [3:49 – 4:17]
Former WWE wrestler Maven and ex-WWE on-screen personalities Charly Arnolt (fka Charly Caruso) and Jonathan Coachman were also on the panel.
