The Rock sent an emotional message on X (fka Twitter) to a 39-year-old star who last appeared in WWE at SummerSlam. The Final Boss was out of character during a public appearance when he praised rap star Jelly Roll.

The singer-songwriter famously hit Austin Theory with a chokeslam at SummerSlam in Cleveland back in August. He's also on his weight loss journey and was surprised by The Rock's comments about him and his son on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

In a post on X, The People's Champion revealed that he was going through a hard time, and one of Jelly Roll's songs called Only helped him.

"Always believed in you brother☝🏾 your music & friendship helped me thru a very hard time in my life when I was struggling to find a way. Keep kicking ass, shaking cities and moving crowds ~ with gratitude and a smile 🥃🖤," Rocky tweeted.

It was also revealed during the video that Jelly Roll has started losing weight and is down by 100 pounds already. He's feeling better than ever and even showed that he could touch the floor when bending, something that was hard to do a few months ago.

How did Jelly Roll's song help The Rock?

In an appearance on Friday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Rock showed his vulnerable side by saying that he went through something back in 2018. He stumbled upon Jelly Roll's song Only and it had an impact on him.

"That was one of my bouts with depression, and I was struggling, and I was really wobbly. I was trying to balance a lot, we were pregnant with our second baby. My older daughter, she was long distance, I was trying to film a movie. There was a lot going on," Rock said. [H/T NME]

After listening to the song, The Rock contacted the rapper to thank him for the inspiration he provided. They became friends, with Jelly Roll even making an appearance in WWE a few years later.
