Former United States Champion LA Knight recently discussed his firing from WWE that happened a decade ago. The Megastar has now become one of the most popular names in the Stamford-based promotion.

Knight's first stint in World Wrestling Entertainment lasted for a year from 2013 to 2014. He performed for the company's developmental brand, NXT, during the run. The Megastar returned to the Stamford-based promotion in 2021 and has since become one of the biggest names on the roster.

The 42-year-old finally won his first major title after defeating Logan Paul for the United States Championship at SummerSlam 2024. However, he recently dropped the gold to Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series: WarGames.

During a recent conversation with Jazzy's World TV, LA Knight was asked about his viral workout video with Triple H and if that helped him in his WWE career in some way.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

Knight responded that it did not help him because he got fired within a year of joining the Stamford-based promotion.

"Did that help me in any way? Probably not because I got fired soon after. That was 10 years ago. So, now it took me another journey around the world to come back home here and make things happen," he said. [2:55 - 3:09]

The Megastar added that there was never really a moment where he thought he was going to quit professional wrestling after being fired from WWE.

The former United States Champion also mentioned that he kept pushing forward, believing in himself that he was going to connect with the audience. Knight further admitted that he had doubts about his career during the pandemic era.

"I'm gonna be honest there was really never a moment that I ever felt like I was gonna call it quits. There was everything in me [and] I knew I was gonna connect. (...) The only time where I thought, 'I think I'm kinda stuck and I think this might be the end of the road for me,' and that wasn't me quitting, [it was] when the pandemic happened," Knight added. WWE might have bigger plans for LA Knight after his loss at Survivor Series: WarGames

It took a lot of time for the Triple H-led creative team to put a major title on LA Knight, as he had been over with fans for years. Although Knight lost the WWE United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series: WarGames, many people believe the company might have bigger plans for The Megastar.

Since this loss, fans have been pushing for LA Knight to win a world title. Currently, the Undisputed WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Title are held by Cody Rhodes and Gunther, respectively. Many viewers believe the Triple H-led creative team might put Knight into a big storyline with either of the two stars in the coming months.

It remains to be seen what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for LA Knight's future.
