Over the past two decades, Randy Orton's vicious finisher has caught countless WWE Superstars off guard. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix opened up about the infamous segment when she got RKO'd by the 14-time World Champion.
Following Edge's (aka Adam Copeland) return at Royal Rumble 2020, he engaged in a lengthy feud with The Viper. On the March 2, 2020, episode of Monday Night RAW, leading up to WrestleMania 36, Orton and The Rated-R Superstar's wife, Beth Phoenix shared the ring for a tense promo segment.
Things took a shocking turn after a deeply personal and emotional segment. The Glamazon stunned fans by slapping The Apex Predator, only to be met with a devastating RKO.
During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Beth Phoenix described Randy Orton as an incredibly intimidating presence both inside and outside the ring. She emphasized the fear and physical reaction she experienced when receiving an RKO from him, highlighting the former WWE Champion's powerful and frightening on-screen persona.

"That moment with Randy [Orton], there were so many emotions running deep in there and also he's an intimidating guy in person. Like if you're just sitting with Randy and talking, he's got an aura, as the kids say, an aura. But Randy Orton in the ring might be one of the most terrifying humans I've ever been opposite. He just has such power, he's a powerful, frightening character, and the real Randy Orton backstage is totally hidden deep inside and Randy Orton, The Legend Killer in front of you just added an element of fear that I could feel. I was having tremors in my body, in that moment," Phoenix said. [From 49:00 to 49:43]
