WWE has seen hundreds of superstars come and go over the years. However, some departures were less than amicable. One former star recently recalled ending her run with WWE after an argument with Vince McMahon.

Francine is the original Queen of Extreme. She was still managing Justin Credible in Extreme Championship Wrestling when the legendary promotion folded in April 2001. She had spent seven years with Paul Heyman and ECW, mainly as a manager and valet, but also as a trained wrestler.

Speaking to JBL and Gerald Brisco on Stories with Brisco & Bradshaw, Francine revealed that she had a WWE offer in 2001. The 52-year-old discussed a potential reunion with Credible in the X-Factor faction, and claimed they would have feuded with Lita and The Hardys. However, she passed on the deal.

"When [ECW] went bankrupt, I got a call from WWE, and they wanted me to work with X-Factor, which was X-Pac, Justin Credible, Albert. But the way it was pitched to me, it was going to be right on RAW live, and it was them against the Hardys. So, I think Lita and I would've eventually went off and [wrestled on our own], but at that point I was 30 years old... in my mind, I was like, 'They're gonna make me train all over again to be like this wrestler,' and I didn't want to do that," Francine said. Francine joined the NWA in June 2002 but later appeared at WWE's ECW One Night Stand in June 2005. The Philadelphia native then signed with the newly launched ECW brand, but the stint did not last long.

Francine is not fond of that period and recalled a confrontation with Vince McMahon that led to her asking John Laurinaitis for her release.

"In 2006 I actually did sign, because I was told I was going to be a manager, but they had me doing bikini contests every weekend, and I was just like, 'I don't want to do this.' I'm 34 years old, and I have to do all this bikini stuff, and I'm just like, 'This is not what I signed up for.' I even told Vince to his face, 'Let me take Kevin Thorn's finisher!' He goes, 'We don't do that here.' I said, 'You don't let the girls bump here?' He goes, 'Well, I didn't watch ECW, I don't know anything about you.' All I did is go cry to Johnny Ace [John Laurinaitis], 'Give me my release, I wanna go home,'" Francine said.

Stephanie McMahon's ECW tribute to Paul Heyman at the WWE Hall of Fame

Much like Francine, another name who is synonymous with ECW is Paul Heyman, who was recently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

With WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia this year, it was imperative that the ECW pioneer be chosen as the headliner thanks to the promotion's roots in the city.

Stephanie McMahon made a brief return to the spotlight during WrestleMania Weekend. She sat in the front row with Triple H at the Hall of Fame ceremony and paid tribute to her longtime colleague by wearing one of the signature Kangol hats in a throwback to declaring herself to be the new ECW owner in the Invasion.

Heyman also made a joke about Triple H and Stephanie during his speech. The Wiseman was inducted by Roman Reigns.

It remains to be seen whether Paul Heyman or any other ECW legend will ever get the chance to induct Francine into the WWE Hall of Fame.
