Having helmed the creative teams of multiple top promotions, Vince Russo has undoubtedly seen many talents come and go. During a recent episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, Russo addressed some of the creepiest things he's done.
The show was primarily about Liv Morgan and EC3 being accused of "sniffing" the WWE star after he admitted she smelled great. Vince Russo and EC3 joked around during a fun-filled episode of The Wrestling Outlaws, in which Russo admitted to doing the "hug and sniff" once before.
During his time in TNA, Vince Russo had the opportunity to work with Jersey Shore's JWoww (aka Jenni Farley), who made a couple of special appearances at the Impact Zone. JWoww is also married to Zack Clayton, a pro wrestler who has notably made appearances for AEW.
Vince Russo recalled being confused regarding how to greet JWoww after a TNA show and did what he felt was the creepiest thing ever. Russo even ensured to take shots at EC3 as he recounted the story:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"I'll never forget; EC3, you will appreciate this. Jersey Shore was red-hot, bro. Well, bro, there was a girl on Jersey Shore named JWOWW. Bro, I got her on TNA, Chris. It was at the end of the night, and she was getting ready to leave. I had to make the decision: was it going to be a handshake, or was I going in for the hug and the sniff? I went in for the hug and the sniff. That's the creepiest thing I ever did in my career, but see, I've admitted that, EC3. I went in for the hug and the sniff." [From 6:14 onwards]
Vince Russo says he had a "father-daughter" relationship with all the women he worked with in wrestling
The 63-year-old has been involved in and around pro wrestling since the early 1990s and, during the Attitude Era, contributed to WWE's game-changing creative, which took the company to new heights.
Vince Russo also worked in WCW and TNA, helping several well-known talents with their storylines and characters. As Russo was older than most of the female talents he worked with, the former WWE head writer was like a father to them.
Russo stated:
"That was my biggest creep-out moment, bro, and I have no problem saying this, EC3. Chris, this is the biggest creep-out moment in my history. I don't know what it was, my relationship with all the women I ever worked with was really father-daughter. It really always was, bro. I was older than them, a lot of them, and it was always father-daughter." [5:52 - 6:13]
As noted above, Liv Morgan was under the spotlight on The Wrestling Outlaws, where Russo even spoke about WWE missing a significant opportunity to use her mother on TV.
