Tonight's WWE SmackDown featured a heated contract signing for the Champion vs. Champion match for the King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event. The match will see WWE Champion Cody Rhodes take on United States Champion Logan Paul.
Nick Aldis oversaw the in-ring contract signing. The Maverick came out first with a few lackeys and an attorney. The American Nightmare came out next, and they had a tense back-and-forth until Paul was told to sign the contract. However, he and his lawyer paused, then ripped the contract up because he did not like the terms.
Paul then revealed that only the Undisputed WWE Championship would be on the line in Saudi Arabia, as he had never agreed to defend his title. Aldis and Cody were upset now, and Rhodes sent Paul to the floor after signing the contract. One of Paul's lackeys tried to attack, but The Grandson of a Plumber slammed him through a table and posed with both titles.
The man who portrayed Paul's lackey for the table powerbomb spot was indie champion Papi D. He also works as an actor, model, host, content creator, dancer, and personal trainer.
Papi is the current Florida Heavyweight Champion for the I Believe In Wrestling promotion out of Orlando. He is set to work a title unification match against Florida Cruiserweight Champion Raylan Bennett at a show on Saturday, June 1.
The promotion sent word and added that the two titles have been unified individually with NWA, AWA, and SCW Championships.
