A crucial update has now come out on the infamous Janel Grant-Vince McMahon lawsuit. Grant's attorney has issued a statement regarding the immediate future of the lawsuit.
Former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon back in January. McMahon was accused of sexual assault and trafficking. Mere days later, McMahon announced his resignation as TKO's Executive Chairman.
Janel Grant's lawyer has now made a statement on moving forward with the lawsuit against Vince McMahon. Check out the statement below:
"We are pleased that prosecutors for the Southern District of New York have concluded that they can continue their criminal investigation while we bring forward new evidence in our civil case about the sexual exploitation carried out by Janel Grant’s abusers. For the last six months, Ms. Grant has patiently waited to hold Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE accountable for the sex trafficking and abuse she endured at the company on a near daily basis. What did top WWE Superstar Seth Rollins say about the lawsuit against Vince McMahon?
Seth Rollins turned into a top WWE Superstar during the McMahon regime and won the world title on several occasions. He was one of several major names who reacted to the accusations made against McMahon. Here's what he told Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp:
"I said it in that interview on radio row. It sucks. It's horrible. It's disgusting. I don't like hearing about it, reading about it, it's abhorent. I hope, if the allegations are accurate, I hope anybody involved with it gets what's coming to them. It sucks. For me, it's very difficult because I didn't see that side of him. I didn't experience that."
Several other stars have commented in the past on the allegations made against the former WWE CEO, including John Cena and Randy Orton. Cena received massive flak from the WWE Universe for his comments supporting McMahon.
