A WWE star appears to be on his way to returning from injury. The 25-year-old has been out of in-ring action for over six months.

On the June 4 tapings of NXT Level Up, Javier Bernal teamed up with Drake Morreaux to face Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne of Chase U in a tag team match. Unfortunately, Big Body Javi not only ended up on the losing side, but he also sustained an injury while competing.

On his Twitch stream after the contest, the NXT star revealed he broke his foot in a few places during the match and would require surgery.

Big Body Javi added that he would possibly be out of action for six months. The NXT star recently took to his X (FKA Twitter) account to tease his return to the ring after 202 days. He shared a clip of some feet, seemingly his own, running the ropes.

"Curious!" he wrote.

Javier Bernal sends a heartfelt message to fellow WWE NXT Superstar Tatum Paxley after surgery

Javier Bernal got engaged to fellow WWE NXT star Tatum Paxley in September 2023. Amid Bernal's absence from in-ring action, the couple took their relationship up a notch and tied the knot in September this year.

After his successful surgery, Javier shared a series of posts on X to thank WWE, fans, and his now-wife, Tatum Paxley. He noted how the 28-year-old took care of him. He further expressed his love for her.

"Thankful for @TatumPaxley because I couldn’t get through this weekend without her. Every step of the way, she has taken care of me and won’t let me do anything. She is the love of my life, and it’s obvious as to why I see her as wife material😘," he wrote.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes for Bernal to return to the squared circle.
