Jey Uso seemingly teased a match with two stars who are rumored to jump ship from AEW to WWE. The reigning Intercontinental Champion recently opened up about the possibility of reuniting with his twin brother Jimmy and facing top tandems like Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix) in the future.
The Usos were one of the most successful tag teams in WWE history. They disbanded last year, with Jey coming to RAW and becoming one of the biggest singles stars in the company. Meanwhile, Jimmy was dealing with an undisclosed injury until recently. He has now reunited with Roman Reigns on SmackDown.
In an interview with Metro UK during last week's WWE tour, Jey Uso was asked about the prospect of being a tag team wrestler again. He's open to The Usos getting back together and having matches with teams like the Motor City Machine Guns and the Lucha Bros.
"I feel like if we [The Usos, with Jimmy] did have a comeback, man, I would like to run with those guys [Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin], a couple [of] guys from NXT, maybe the Lucha Bros. [Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix]. But they gotta walk through this door," Jey said. [H/T: Metro]
The Lucha Bros. have been rumored to join WWE since the summer but remain listed on the AEW roster's page. Fightful Select reported that Fenix still has some time on his contract, while Pentagon Jr. recently confirmed that his deal with All Elite Wrestling has not yet expired.
Jey Uso confronted The Bloodline on SmackDown
Ahead of his Intercontinental Championship defense against Bron Breakker on RAW tonight in Philadelphia, Jey Uso visited SmackDown last Friday. Jey confronted The Bloodline amid their feud with Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns.
The Yeet Master put Solo Sikoa on blast and questioned why he recruited the Tongans and Jacob Fatu. The reunion of the original lineup of The Bloodline has been teased, but Jey has turned down any effort from Jimmy and Reigns in the past week.
The Bloodline got the upper hand again last Friday, demolishing Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns to end the show. It showed that the duo needed backup if they wanted to be successful against the fearsome foursome of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa.
