John Cena's eventful week will be bookended with an appearance on WWE SmackDown. It seems there is a surprise in store for tonight's show, which is the season premiere of the blue brand.
Set to air live from BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, John Cena confronting Roman Reigns is heavily speculated. The GOAT dropped a tweet earlier today which mentioned the return of the Tribal Chief.
Many believe that this is a not-so-subtle hint that Cena is in fact the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion's challenger for WWE Crown Jewel. However, one fan pointed to a potential appearance by another Samoan, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Roman Reigns vs. The Rock is a possibility down the line according to a large section of the fans, owing to the latter's recent return, which in turn was also a shock to the live crowd.

Despite Cena being the bigger name of the two, a certain "Megastar" is also expected to enter the world title picture soon. Renowned wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer recently predicted that LA Knight will face Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel. Check it out here.
John Cena on meeting The Rock after a long while on WWE SmackDown
The Rock made a surprise return to the Stamford-based promotion on September 15, opening the show. John Cena, who was previously advertised, met him in a backstage segment following the former's promo with Austin Theory and Pat McAfee.
Cena recently got the opportunity to talk about his feelings about meeting The Rock on SmackDown after a long time, while doing an interview for WWE's The Bump. He was asked what it meant to stand alongside his former rival once again:
"Thank you for the question," Cena responded. "I want to adjust it a little bit. 'What was it like to see a friend that I haven't seen in a long time?' And in between the times we've spent with each other, I've openly kind of come to a realization that the first foray into us competing against each other probably was a professional mistake on my part, and I've been very apologetic and open with my apology." Will John Cena's recent involvement with The Bloodline transition to a match between him and Roman Reigns? Will Cena endorse LA Knight as the new challenger? Does The Rock return to SmackDown tonight to confront the Tribal Chief?
