Some WWE Superstars have thrived outside the company once they left the Stamford-based promotion or even the wrestling industry in some cases. Recently, a former talent who had experienced the same explained why her time as a performer in Titanland was not her best days.

In 2023, Macey Estrella (fka Lacey Evans) was released from WWE following her seven-year run with the Stamford-based promotion. The 34-year-old star was in a few notable storylines but never won a championship in the company.

In a video on her YouTube channel Limitless Lady, Evans expressed how she hated working in the promotion as a performer. She said she was a fan of slow living and explained how the rigid system of work in the Stamford-based promotion rarely allowed her to live her life on her own terms.

She didn't enjoy not having enough time to spend with her children and look after them as she was often on the road. She also noted the difficulties female athletes faced when it came to giving birth to children while working in the wrestling industry.

A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE

"Also, to be with my freaking kids, because that's one thing in WWE that I hated. The absolute most. [...] The lifestyle is so different. [...] Just enjoy life slowly, which you could not have done in WWE. It was very very difficult to not only be able to reproduce because you know you've got to keep that body. But it was very difficult to lead a life that I personally wanted for my children," Evans said. [From 02:30 to 03:20]

What did Lacey Evans do in her final WWE run?

In 2022, Lacey Evans returned under the previous regime after her maternity leave. The management made her switch brands as well as her in-ring persona a few times before she became a staple on Friday Night SmackDown.

In 2023, she was set to adopt a new character based on her previous stint in the Marines and adopted the Cobra Clutch as her finishing move. Unfortunately, it went nowhere, and she lost a few matches.

In June 2023, she had her last televised match against Charlotte Flair, which at one point was scheduled to happen on The Grandest Stage of Them All under Vince McMahon's regime.

She had her final match for the Stamford-based promotion against Zelina Vega in July before being released.
