"It is painful" — Rhea Ripley's promo skills need work, says former WWE personality

Rhea Ripley's second reign as Women's World Champion commenced on the Netflix premiere of WWE RAW. The night was remarkable for the Australian wrestler owing to her win over longtime rival Liv Morgan, regaining the belt, and getting revenge over her ex, Dominik Mysterio. The icing on the cake was a moment she shared with WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker.

Before that happened, Ripley cut a promo in the ring. Former RAW General Manager Jonathan Coachman had some criticism about it. He does not like her Australian accent, which he says is "painful."

Speaking on his Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, The Coach did not shy away from sharing his honest thoughts on Rhea Ripley's promo skills. While he admitted that her accent is a natural thing and she cannot help it, he feels that she could use a dialect coach:

"The interview after she won — I can't listen to her talk anymore. It drives me insane. And I know she can't help it. It's her accent. But my God, Tommy. It is painful to listen to her cut a promo." [From 19:47 to 20:06]

Rhea Ripley has been after Liv Morgan since last summer. Over the course of a few months, Morgan took away her boyfriend and her road family, The Judgment Day. Ripley was finally able to put an end to all of it, and their rivalry is supposedly over after her emphatic win.

Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch II at WrestleMania 41? Potential reason for title switch revealed

During a recent episode of Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes touched upon Rhea Ripley dethroning Liv Morgan this close to WrestleMania 41.

He noted that this is because WWE sees four women as part of the Women's World Championship picture on the grand stage, and Morgan supposedly does not have a place, as Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are due for a return.

The company would obviously want them, and Rhea, to be part of the title picture. And the fourth is Tiffany Stratton, who won the Women's Championship on SmackDown last Friday when she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax.

Before taking a hiatus from WWE, Becky Lynch was the Women's World Champion. It was Liv Morgan who ended her reign. Interestingly, the Irish star did not win the belt until Rhea Ripley got injured and was forced to vacate it. The two locked horns at WrestleMania 40, where Mami picked up the win.
