Sami Zayn kicked off the return edition of Saturday Night's Main Event with his massive match against Drew McIntyre. While the feud between both men didn't grow a lot, their match turned out to be the perfect opener for the show, with McIntyre picking up a big victory against the former Intercontinental Champion.
While Drew McIntyre clearly tried to move on with a big victory against Zayn, the latter unleashed an attack on the Scottish Warrior last week on RAW, eventually leading to officials getting involved to separate them. Both men are slated to have another match next week on the red brand.
In a recent episode of the In The Kliq podcast, Sami Zayn discussed being part of SNME and said it was a 'full circle' moment. The OG Bloodline member also discussed how the small details that WWE kept an eye on brought back the retro feel perfectly, making things more interesting.
"It was super cool, just because, being a kid like that, I remember that vividly... The set is set up, and the details—these little details you're talking about—go such a long way. The narrow entrance, the theme song, the presentation mimics exactly what you remembered growing up on. Yes, it really kind of puts it in perspective, like, 'Wow, this is so full circle for me,' you know? It amplified that for me," said Sami Zayn. [4:04 onwards]

Sami Zayn addressed a square-off with Kevin Owens in the future
Kevin Owens has changed a lot after seeing Cody Rhodes team up with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. Since then, Sami Zayn has also teamed up with the OTC, which fans think will be the foundation of a massive feud between Owens and Zayn in the future.
Addressing the same on the In The Kliq podcast, the former Intercontinental Champion stated that Owens would have a different reaction to him teaming with Reigns, thanks to the friendship both men have. Time will tell if WWE plans to build a feud between both men sometime in the future.
