WWE legend The Rock recently disclosed how professional wrestling was a savior for his family.
The Great One was rumored to battle Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39, but it never came to fruition. Instead, Cody Rhodes punched his ticket to the main event of WrestleMania by winning the Royal Rumble match. However, The American Nightmare came up short against The Tribal Chief.
Speaking with former NFL stars Channing Crowder, Fred Taylor & Ryan Clark on The Pivot podcast, The Brahma Bull disclosed that wrestling has helped keep his family together now that his daughter, Simone Johnson (Ava Raine in NXT), has become a professional wrestler.
“So when I had Simone, I was flying by the seat of my pants. I was wrestling full-time, I started transitioning into movies full-time. I had so much sh*t going on so I like to say me and Simone grew up together. So we had a relationship where I was always gone but we tried to keep it together. Now, years later, as she becomes a pro wrestler, it’s actually brought us closer together. So in a way, it’s helped save that relationship too so, in many ways, pro wrestling has been my family’s savior," he said. [H/T: PW Torch]

WWE star Zelina Vega discloses that The Rock talked her out of quitting professional wrestling
Zelina Vega recently revealed that she considered quitting wrestling in the past, but The Rock was able to talk her out of it.
The 32-year-old superstar competed in the biggest match of her life this past Saturday at WWE Backlash. She battled Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women's Championship and her mother was in attendance to cheer her on. Zelina came up short in the match but received an incredible reaction from the crowd in Puerto Rico at WWE Backlash.
During a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, Zelina Vega said she contemplated quitting the business after trying out for WWE for the seventh time, but The Rock advised her to not give up. She noted that his advice has stuck with her and she owes a lot to him.
"To go from that to training at the Performance Center, it's been a dream come true. Had I not said anything to him [The Rock], to not be able to live this dream…it's crazy how these little things [work]. If one thing had just changed, none of this would have happened. I owe a lot to him. It's mindblowing to think had that one instance changed, everything else would have," Vega added. (H/T EWrestlingNews)
The possibility of a dream match between The Great One and Roman Reigns still exists. Only time will tell if The People's Champion and The Tribal Chief ever meet inside the squared circle.
