A former WWE Superstar recently opened up about possibly returning to the company and signing a Legends deal. Ernest "The Cat" Miller was in WWE from 2002 to 2004 but is more known for his time in WCW.

Miller signed with WWE in late 2002. The veteran served as a commentator for Velocity from December 2002 to August 2003. He later became an in-ring talent and even entered the 2004 Royal Rumble Match. Miller was released from his contract in February 2004 and has since sporadically appeared in different independent promotions.

Appearing on the Ten Count Media podcast recently, the 60-year-old star was asked about possibly signing a Legends contract with the biggest wrestling company in the world. However, Miller said that he was no longer interested in anything related to wrestling due to his projects in the entertainment industry.

"I've heard a couple of people say something about it, but I don't think I kissed enough a** when I was there. It's always too late for me because my wrestling life is behind me. I did what I was supposed to do in wrestling. Now, I'm doing different things. I'm coming up with content; I'm doing movies; I'm doing TV shows," Miller said. [1:19:42-1:20:06]

Ernest ''The Cat'' Miller says WWE low-balled him when he signed in 2002

Speaking to Fightful in an interview in January 2024, Ernest "The Cat" Miller opened up about signing with WWE in 2002.

The 60-year-old claimed that it was a low-ball offer and that he was making more in WCW. However, he decided to accept it after being convinced by John Laurinaitis.

"It was about $220,000 a year. I was making that in one month in WCW. I said, 'That's bottom pay,' but you get pay-per-view and all this stuff I used to get in WCW. If you hit this rating, you get a bump up, and they give you a little more money. [John Laurinaitis] talked me into it. I said, 'I'm going to go up there so I can say I worked in the two largest companies in wrestling!'" Miller said. [H/T: Fightful]
