Jacob Fatu is certainly one of the names to watch out for in WWE. However, he has recently been in the news for the wrong reasons.
Jacob allegedly no-showed a charity wrestling event for a non-profit organization, called Jake's Network of Hope. According to the allegations, the event was supposed to be attended by him in April 2023, but Jacob never appeared and did not return the paid amount of $2,633. However, it was noted later that the amount had been paid back.
Understandably, this has led to significant social media backlash for Jacob Fatu. Speaking about the issue on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, veteran journalist Bill Apter stated:

"It's not really a lot of negative publicity. It's on the internet. We don't really know what happened here. That's why they said they are handling it privately. So I don't wanna say anything that Jacob Fatu did anything wrong at all, because I don't know the facts. So I won't comment on it but I am sure if they said it's gonna be taken care of privately, they will do it." [4:48 onwards]
The non-profit organization later clarified the situation about the WWE star
Afterwards, Jake's Network of Hope made it clear that the amount had been repaid by the WWE star earlier but they had failed to notice it.
The organization also released a statement regarding the matter, which stated that Jacob had also apologized for the incident.
"In May, Jacob Fatu reached out with a heartfelt apology, initiating a meaningful dialogue that allowed us to work together with all parties involved to find solutions and fully resolve the matter. This event aimed to confront the challenging realities of poverty and the immense obstacles to overcoming it. While not everything unfolded perfectly, we are grateful for the awareness raised around diaper need and the substantial costs of providing essential products to families."
As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for Jacob Fatu in his WWE career.
