Bron Breakker has made a bold statement after defeating Sami Zayn on this week's Monday Night RAW. The two battled for the Intercontinental Title.
In the main event of RAW, Breakker faced Zayn in a Two Out of Three Falls Match. This was the 26-year-old's first successful defense of the Intercontinental Championship after winning the gold at the 2024 SummerSlam Premium Live Event.
In an exclusive interview with WWE, Breakker declared it was his time to shine and marked the beginning of the "bada** era."
“I think I proved to the world tonight, lot of people been saying for a long time that Bron Breakker’s the future of the business. I proved tonight that the future of the business is here, now. This is my Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship. It will stay here as long as I have a say-so. I proved that I’m the next guy up, that I’m that dude, that I’m that dog. It is my time, the bada** era is here now," Breakker said. [H/T: Fightful]
Bron Breakker put the roster on notice after his win over Sami Zayn
Bron Breakker has impressed fans and professionals since joining the main roster. While he lost to Sami Zayn at Money in the Bank 2024, he avenged the loss by dethroning The Master Strategist at SummerSlam.
Following his successful title defense against Zayn on RAW, Breakker warned all up-and-coming wrestlers and main roster superstars who wanted a shot at the Intercontinental Championship.
"To all comers and to all superstars that want a piece of me, want a piece of this championship, I said it last week, I’ll say it again. See that? That is my name [on the title], it’s not going anywhere."
Since being drafted to RAW, Breakker has shared the ring with many top names, including Ricochet and Ilja Dragunov. With his latest victory over Sami Zayn, it now remains to be seen who the 26-year-old will face next.
At Bash in Berlin, Breakker could defend the Intercontinental Championship against a prominent talent.
