WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is arguably among the best in-ring performers in professional wrestling history. He has been part of several memorable moments over the years. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently recalled watching Angle deal with his addiction.

Several stars in the world of professional wrestling have been found guilty of substance abuse and addiction. Former WWE Champion Kurt Angle is one of those names. He has often talked about his addiction to painkillers and how he got rid of it.

On the latest episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo recalled how Kurt Angle was shaking during his first TNA Wrestling interview. He pointed out that the Olympic Gold medalist was trying to deal with his addiction. The veteran added that he was happy to see Angle pull through as he believed the latter was a great individual.

"When he [Kurt Angle] first came to TNA, I remember sitting down with him, and I produced his very first interview. Chris, I never saw this with anybody I had ever worked with before. Bro, the whole interview, he was [shaking], and it was withdrawal. He was trying to get off the stuff, and I mean the whole interview. And man, to see it like you can't imagine that battle, like, 'Oh my God.' But, thank God, man. I mean, he found his way through because he's such a good man and good individual, and I just thank God," he said. [From 13:01 to 13:54]
