On the latest episode of RAW, IYO SKY defeated Bianca Belair in a singles match. Following her victory, The Genius of the Sky made a major statement, claiming that she and Kairi Sane deserved a shot at the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.
SKY has previously won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Dakota Kai. The same goes for Kairi, who won the tag team gold twice with Asuka. Belair and Jade Cargill ended Sane and Asuka's last title reign at Backlash France.
Taking to Instagram, SKY posted a photo of herself and Sane, mentioning that the duo was worthy of challenging for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.
"I proved tonight by a three count that we are worthy of the women’s tag titles. We want to challenge Bianca and Jade!!!! @wwe #wweraw #damagectrl," IYO SKY shared.

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo was not pleased with the finish to IYO SKY vs. Bianca Belair on RAW
On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, IYO SKY secured a huge win over Bianca Belair. However, former WWE head writer Vince Russo was not impressed with the finish to the match.
While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Russo mentioned that The EST looked weak with her finisher being reversed.
"The way they got IYO SKY over, Belair had her in her finish... That doesn’t protect Bianca Belair at all. They were doing all that dangerous stuff on the outside when she had her up and carried her in the ring. Have her blow out her knees right there, that’s the finish... Not when she hits her with the move and then gets beat," Vince Russo said.
At the Bash in Berlin 2024 Premium Live Event, Belair and Jade Cargill won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship by defeating Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Following SKY's victory over Belair, IYO and Kairi Sane could be in contention to challenge for the titles at some point in the future.
Since winning the titles in Berlin, Germany, Belair and Cargill have successfully defended their titles against The Unholy Union on RAW.
